About Me

The Person Behind Friend in HR

I began my career in the field of psychology, completing my studies and starting an internship with a Job Services agency. My work focused on supporting individuals who, after serious work-related incidents, were unable to return to meaningful employment. I saw firsthand how poor workplace practices — not the work itself — were often the real barrier to recovery and long-term stability.That experience shaped everything I do. It led me into HR, and eventually into organisational development, where I’ve worked across mining, heavy industry, and high-risk environments. I’ve supported both businesses and individuals through complex issues like conflict, performance, workplace culture, and Fair Work disputes.I don’t just talk policy — I focus on what actually works. My approach is grounded in clear advice, legal awareness, and human insight.Whether you're running a team or dealing with a workplace challenge yourself, having a trusted friend in HR offers support that’s confidential, sound, and actionable — just like it should be.
